Jac Rijk is actively involved in bauxite mining in the Carramacca Mine in Suriname. Below are some images of the actual mining of blasted bauxite in the Carramacca Mine in Suriname, as carried out by Jac Rijk. Bauxite is the raw material used to make aluminium.
During the extraction of bauxite, Jac Rijk was active in Suriname for more than 25 years, from bush clearing to mining, excavating and transporting the bauxite by road and water to the refinery. This has enabled us to make a valuable contribution to Surinamese society.
